A Sales Manager is required by a leading travel tour operator, due to continued expansion of the company and the B2B sales department.  As Sales Manager you will be working for one of the greatest successes in the UK Travel industry for the past 10 years, the leader in their field, and a company that provides its clients with simple solutions to complex problems.  You will be paying a key role in the development of the company, being responsible for the commercial development of the E-commerce business segment.


As Sales Manager you will:


  • Manage, and develop, the Ecommerce database and portfolio, implementing sales and marketing strategy, helping to achieve deeper account penetration, improve retention and increase sales.
  • Pro-actively look to increase sales with new and existing accounts by becoming an expert in your field
  • Grow the company profile through networking and representing the company at (trade) events
  • Ensure Press Releases are drafted in line with S&M Strategy and delivered into relevant trade press and maximise company exposure
  • Deliver and maintain cost effective budgets
  • Participate in the development of marketing material and collateral including brochures, newsletters and electronic newsletters.
  • Be responsible for the line management of the Ecommerce Sales Executive, including training across the fulfilment teams to ensure excellence in service


The successful Sales Manager will have a proven track record in sales management within the travel industry, be commercially minded, with excellent negotiation and communication skills.  As Sales Manager you will also possess sharp numeracy and analytical skills and be able to think strategically, whilst being innovative and creative.  You will be self motivated, enthusiastic, driven by success and will preferably have knowledge of the e-commerce arena.
