A Sales Manager (B2B) is required by a leading travel wholesaler.  A key appointment within a highly regarded organisation, the Sales Manager will be responsible for managing sales executives, who will implement your sales strategies to drive and grow sales which you will report back to the board having achieved set business goals for the companies B2B website brand.

As Sales Manager you will:

  • Drive the project to ensure that key opportunities of £100k+ per annum are maximised
  • Reduce client churn through effective reporting methods, taking remedial action to prevent or reverse churn where appropriate.
  • Monitor the activity of the Sales team
  • Build the sales pipeline with the team through the use of research and information obtained from within the business, trade shows and sales trips
  • Ensure that all sales leads are followed up and KPIs such as conversions are measured and communicated
  • Personally undertake some new sales and be responsible for some existing client accounts
  • Complete monthly reports
  • Highlight to relevant departments issues which could affect sales including but not limited to gaps in product, pricing strategies and promotional opportunities
  • Work with the IT team to maintain and improve the UI and technical functionality on the site, ensuring that client and staff feedback is logged and acted on where appropriate
  • Ensure that product and promotional information on the site is competitive, relevant and updated on a regular basis
  • Work with the sales and account development staff across all markets to share information regarding potential XML and customers
  • Attend trade shows and travel overseas as required

The successful Sales Manager will have prior experience of sales and team management within a sales environment, with excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and be numerate and commercial with the ability to manage a revenue stream as a business trading unit.  The successful Sales Manager will be an effective team player who is able to work successfully with a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external, be a pragmatist who is able to utilize existing resources to good effect and be highly accurate with an excellent attention to detail with the ability to make decisions understanding financial implications and willing to take calculated risks.  It would also be desirable to if the successful candidate had a background in Hotel wholesale.
