Business Travel Sales Manager, Leeds, £35-40K plus commission

Our client is an award winning Global Business Travel Management Company and a worldwide recognised brand with representation in 139 countries. They are now looking for a Business Travel Sales Manager with a consultative sales approach to join their Mid Markets team. This position is responsible for the successful sales and acquisition of target companies for their middle market segment, those corporations spending up to $3 million per year on travel services in the UK.

The key deliverables for the Business Travel Sales Manager are;

  • Research and preparation for discussion with prospects, with regard to their business and the companies Business Travel service offering
  • Development of client solution proposal in conjunction with internal support teams
  • Determining key stakeholders and proactively building relationships
  • Building and leveraging internal relationships to achieve outcomes
  • Management of sales proposals and RFP documentation
  • Technology demonstration skills around B2B applications over the web
  • Plans and manages their time to ensure a consistent business pipelines to achieve sales targets - Management of prospect relationship data into CRM systems(salesforce.com)
  • Ability to operate in a matrix structure to deliver on the promise


Skills and qualifications required for the Business Travel Sales Manager are;

  • Excellent track record in sales negotiations and closing skills with national and international corporations.
  • High level communication skills and the ability to adapt their communication style to suit the audience.
  • A high level of business and market acumen.
  • Knowledge of competitors value propositions.
  • The ability to demonstrate strong negotiation and influencing skills with and the ability to influence prospective client decisions.
  • Proven success in managing structured sales process.
  • Be able to demonstrate that you are comfortable liaising with a spectrum of stakeholders including; Senior CFO, Procurement managers, to internal operations and Administration managers.
  • Is driven to achieve targets.
  • Can strategically plan to achieve both long and short term results.
  • Has demonstrated ability to cold call leads, qualify and prospect
  • Has strong understanding of contracts, financial analysis and terminology.
  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills.


The Business Travel Sales Manager would ideally suit a BDM or Sales Manager with Middle Market/SME experience possibly form an Independent and is looking for a step up into a Global Business Travel Management Company.  This is a Field based role covering the NW.
