Regency Park Hotel

Department: Sales

Reporting to: Business Development Manager

Salary: 25k (5 days a week core, but weekend hours required, rota basis, as agreed with BDM)

Main Responsibilities:

Responsible for new business development via prospecting, qualifying, selling, closing and administering business for an individual Hotel and for the group as a whole.

Main Duties:


Maintain effective channels of communication with staff, managers and clients through all methods (including specifically but not exclusively - face to face, email, telephone, letter, social media channels and fax)
Positively and professionally promote the Hotel and group Improve existing and develop new revenue streams
Increase sales through all revenue streams and through searching out new business
Sell a full range of services for the Hotel and group
Account manage existing clients and develop these relationships to increase their spend
Handle any negative feedback from clients in a positive manner and work with the relevant Manager to resolve the issue for the client
Develop new relationships with companies to gain new business
Complete client specific RFI's, RFP's and any online or bids or rate solicitation requirements for the individual hotels or the group as required
Participate in monthly cold calling days
Develop customer and client relationships through listening and understanding
Prepare offer schedules as required and assist with promotional material/activities in conjunction with Strategy and Development Manager
Design, write and deliver group presentations
Effectively promote the Hotel through all available marketing methods including social media
Prioritise activities in the interest of the business
Produce a sales plan & marketing plan in conjunction with Business
Development Manager, and actively promote and execute this
Timely and accurate sales reporting as required by the business
Attend and actively participate in networking events. These may include evenings and very occasional weekends
Organise and publicise sales events as required
Host monthly lunch events
Attend conferences, exhibitions, expo's as required
Ensure departmental administration is accurate and timely
Manage the Senior Sales & Event Co-ordinator (Events Office)
Manage the overall running of the Events Office
Protect the business against bad press
Supports sales site activity
To be responsible, whilst liaising with your line Manager, for your own development
To be aware of, and comply with, statutory and company
requirements regarding the work place such as health and safety, hygiene, fire prevention and licensing. To also be accountable for security in the department
Any other request by your Manager/Senior Management
