A Sales and Marketing Manager is required by a high profile tour operator to raise and increase awareness of their core, incentive and sports programmes to their target markets, with the goal of increasing their market share.  Working for a company that prides itself on making it’s customers feel special, you will be looking to build upon successful relationships with the travel trade.


As Sales and Marketing Manager you will be responsible for the leadership of the sales team for all three departments, including recruitment, workload distribution and team review.  You will establish sales objectives throughout the year in conjunction with the company’s business goals.  This will see you prepare an annual sales plan providing quarterly updates, revisions and modifications helping the Sales Department achieves its targets. The Sales and Marketing Manager will analyse processes and look to improve systems for better running of the sales and marketing process.  You will work closely with other senior members of staff to ensure that company standards are met with regards to response time for offers and at budget to help ensure that business is won, as well as indentifying trends to improve the company’s buying.  The Sales and Marketing Manager will also be responsible for all communication / marketing / branding of the company.   This will cover a wide scope including  communicating special offers and newsletters to the full breadth of company clients, the company's social media presence, relationships with tourist boards, and company brochures and websites.


The successful Sales and Marketing Manager, will be commercially aware with a strong background in tour operating or at an independent hotel.  You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to instil vision and enthusiasm into others.  You will be a dynamic forward thinker, who is able to spot trends and develop ideas to the company's benefit.  The successful candidate will have at least two years experience in a management role, and preferably be a French or German speaker.
