Sales & Operations Manager – Adventure Educational Travel - £upon application – Surrey

 

Sales & Operations Manager is required by a well-established tour operator, with a reputation for providing once-in-a-lifetime experiences, due to further growth and success to oversee the successful running of sales and operations.  As Sales & Operations Manager you will have the responsibility for running a team that is responsible for achieving commercial goals and delivering customer excellence and quality standards.

 

As Sales & Operations Manager you will:

  • Manage and oversee the day to day workloads, ensuring all sales enquiries and operational processes (including booking reports/manifests) are completed within required time-frames.
  • Monitor sales team performance and commission structure.
  • Ensure sales and operations staff are fully trained with relevant processes. Provide on-going coaching to develop, motivate and identify training needs. 
  • Assist with arranging training educational visits and staff travel/insurance bookings.
  • Conduct staff appraisals to review performance and set development/business goals and targets (KPI’s).
  • Manage the Tour Leader process and ensure the Tour Leaders are fully prepared to lead groups and provide feedback to them post trip
  • Administer hotel allocations and monitor booking levels to ensure targets are met
  • Attend and represent the company at trade and public exhibitions/shows/open-evenings.
  • Liaise/investigate with suppliers when customers report negative feedback or experiences.  Where necessary respond to customer’s concerns/feedback.

 

The Sales & Operations Manager will have experience in managing travel teams in either sales, reservations, operations, customer service or product with a full understanding of the running of a successful travel tour operation.  As Sales & Operations Manager you will have excellent organisation skills with experience of managing multiple work streams with the ability to thrive working in a pressurised environment and to deadlines without compromising on customer service levels.
