Sales & Operations Manager required for this Glasgow based Adventure / Tours Travel Tour Operator.


JOB DESCRIPTION:
The key duty here is to lead the Sales & Operations team, reporting directly to Head of Sales & Operations, responsible for enabling your team achieve their stretch sales, operations & customer service targets.

Other hey responsibilities include:
-Recruit, train and develop a great team, putting a structure in place that enable them to excel, thus enabling travelers to have a great experience, giving you the opportunity to make an impact on the ongoing success of this fast growing business, as well as your career.
-Deliver ongoing training & development, ensuring the best service is delivered and the best job is done.
-Implement new ideas and initiatives to continually improve performance & customer experience.
-Support the Head of Sales & Operations in building an exceptional team.
-Support your team in resolving any issues or problems.
-Use your genuine, keen personal passion for adventure / outdoors activities.


EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
The perfect candidate will be suitably experienced and use their proven track record of developing & managing high performing staff, who al have a passion for outdoors adventure activities, walking, hiking, cycling, etc.
You will be positive, results-driven, enthusiastic, able to thrive in a busy environment and use / pass on your 'can-do' attitude.
Applicants must want to work for a leading, successful company and want to share their high values & customer service standards.
You will have a people-focussed approach, be comfortable providing support & direction, be goal orientated, flexible & helpful, be a good communicator and be confident in inspiring others.
It's essential that you demonstrated that you're genuinely passionate about / partake in outdoors adventure activities to get the best out of this role.


THE PACKAGE:
This is a truly great opportunity to progress personally & professionally, playing a key part in this hugely successful and growing Adventure Tour Operator.
You will receive a competitive salary, profit related bonus, upto 2 fam trips per year, a benefits package, holiday allowance plus your birthday off as well as the opportunity to be part of and lead a great team.
Core working hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:30 working a Sat or Sun just 1 in 6 to 8 weeks and one late shift (11:30 - 20:00) just 1 in 6 to 8 weeks. This management role will require you to be the "Duty Manager" (on call) just 1 in 10 weeks.
