As well as housing an award winning Theatre Company, our client has two distinct eating and drinking areas. They have a variety of menus running and also have a packed schedule of events within their business to cater for.
The Senior Duty Manager will be expected to work alongside the F&B Manager to enhance the reputation of the company's operation. The suitable candidate must be aware that they are a theatre and their trade can massively fluctuate from day-to-day and hour-to-hour depending upon what shows they have on, and thus must be prepared for this rapid change in pace within the business that is required during busy Pre-Theatre service.
We are looking for a real character to bring warmth and fun to their operation as guest interaction is of paramount importance. However, over and above someone who is really fun they want someone who knows restaurant service inside and out.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
. Work independently to a high standard
. Ensure the consistent quality and speed of delivery of all food
. Have great cellar management skills
. Train and develop all of the team
. Produce staff rotas in the absence of the F & B Manager
. Be financially astute and able to make rota and stock adjustments to meet targets
. Liaise with corporate event bookers
. Take responsibility for ordering & maintaining stock control
. Serve as a role model & set a positive example
. Have at least 2 years' experience of working as a Duty/Assistant Manager
. Outstanding customer service skills
. Restaurant management experience
. Have great computer & organisation skills
. Have an understanding of managing operations & the cost implications of staffing & stock levels
. Experience of preparing rotas (desirable)
. Great cocktail making skills (desirable
. Hold a current personal license (desirable)
. Hold a current emergency first aid & fire marshal certificate (desirable)
