Senior Travel Sales Consultant - London - up to £25k basic + comm

 

Our client an independent travel company who specialise in quality villas and apartments for holiday rentals in a choice of European resorts, in particular Croatia, Portugal and Turkey are looking for a Senior Travel Consultant.

 

They provide accommodation for all types of holidaymakers; couples, families or large groups. Each villa and resort is known intimately by knowledgeable staff who can answer any queries that customers might have. Through good relationships with local business owners overseas they can source any additional services, including car hire, insurance, day tours and even a personal chef!

 

You will report directly into the MD and be responsible for all tele sales staff- in and out of house & bookings staff.

 

Duties:

Overseeing and personally calling prospective new enquiries and data base customers

Developing demand by taking incoming customer enquiries by phone and email and dealing with them promptly

Identifying customer needs and finding matching villas to increase bookings to enquiry ratios

Develop and increase customer and agent contacts as well as lifestyle companies, travel counsellors and PA’s.

Ensure that any sales both own and team are followed by correct customer and supplier documentation.

Personally manage own bookings of individual, group and special occasions

Check and manage online bookings

Deal with occasional supplier enquiries / queries as required

Develop personal and team knowledge of countries offered

Both personally and with team, upsell and maximise sales opportunities at all times.

Deliver an exceptional level of Customer Service at all times.

Monitoring, measuring and training other staff

Participate in fam trips and training programmes – foreign travel may be required

Supply reports to management weekly showing enquiries, quotations, sales and chart of conversions rates at each stage of AIDA

 

You will have experience of:

- Proven sales record in a senior sales position, preferably from a luxury travel provider

- Able to build solid relationships with clients and trade partners

- Experience of supervising other staff

- High level of attention to detail

- Excellent communicator on phone and in person

- Proactive, driven, confident, determined, use initiative

- Knowledge of European product, in particular Turkey, Portugal, Croatia
