Senior Travel Consultant - Private Sales - London - up to £32k basic

A specialist Tour Operator are looking to recruit a member of the Private Sales team to achieve and exceed an agreed annual booking margin target by developing new business.

• Build-up a loyal clientele by managing all the clients effectively and exceeding expectations in respect of service and attention to detail

• Responsible for sales of Company's brochure product and booking with 3rd Party Tour Operators on retail bookings

Key responsibilities

• To process all reservation enquiries from new Private Sales leads in a timely and efficient manner

• To handle incoming telephone calls promptly, efficiently and effectively

• To process reservations using negotiated rates as the first priority

• Negotiating deals with hotels on an ad-hoc basis over and above contracted rates and tactical offers in order to secure bookings

• Process own bookings i.e. create booking in automated system, responsible for creating quotes, special requests etc

• Work alongside the Marketing Manager to develop new business and play a pivotal role in developing new markets

• Advising on and feedback on the success of new sales channels

• Representing the Company / The Private 100 at consumer events – building relationships with clients and becoming indispensable to them

Knowledge, experience, skills required

• An accomplished sales professional with proven track record of delivering results

• Specialist knowledge of 1-2 continents in the Company's new product' profile - Far East, Africa, Australia/NZ, Middle East, Europe, USA

• Comprehensive knowledge of deluxe hotels in the above destinations

• Minimum 5 years Retail / Tour operating experience

• Must have commercial acumen with attention to bottom line

• Ability to create FIT’s by buying through 3rd party Operators

• Must be able to confidently converse with and influence demanding – high spend clientele

• Articulate, well organised and able to represent the brand confidently
