Specialist Travel Regional Business Development Manager - Hampshire, £28k-£35k basic + commission
This company is one of the UK's leading providers of adventure travel, providing tailor made expeditions and adventures for UK clients.
The team is expanding and our client is currently looking to recruit a full-time Business Development Manager to manage the continued growth and success of one of their key travel brands. The successful candidate will lead a small team based at the head office in Hampshire. You will be given autonomy and overall responsibility for maintaining and improving the excellent performance, profitability and quality of this brand of the company.
You will possess outstanding communication skills, a track record in sales and have an understanding of marketing principles. You must be very well travelled and have a clear understanding/experience of product development in the travel industry. As well as actively selling and developing sales, part of your role you will be to lead, motivate and train your team as well as to report to senior management regularly on turnover, gross margin, quality and the overall performance of your brand.
You will need in-depth knowledge of the the education niche, as well as an ability to empathise with clients. Above all, the successful candidate must demonstrate drive, passion, commitment and belief in this exciting and innovative brand.
This is a full time role, with some time spent visiting potential clients (mainly in the south of England). We offer a great package including competitive salary, bonus scheme and sales commission. We work in beautiful offices in Hampshire and offer opportunities for travel, training and development.
On-target earnings £35,000-£45,000 per annum depending on experience and performance, plus overseas travel opportunities.
