Subway Manager / New Store Opening Manager
We are recruiting for our client a retail group with various outlets which include a Subway.
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
Overall Responsibility for the profitability & operation of all Food to go & Subway Outlets run by the company.
Opening & set up of all new subway outlets operated by our client's retail group.
MAIN TASKS / RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Ensuring the hours of operation are maintained at all times at all outlets
Recruitment (in conjunction with site managers) and training and ongoing development of all Subway Supervisors
Ensure all Subway Outlets operated by the company are compliant with Subway Operations procedures at all times.
Responsible for ensuring all Subway Supervisors and Site Managers meet all requirements of their job description relating to the Subway Operation and assisting where necessary to cover shortfalls
Ensuring customer complaints are handling in a professional manner & in accordance with Subway requirements
Reviewing Subway KPI report weekly, setting targets and addressing issues
Reviewing each store's WISR every week before transmission to identify and rectify issues prior to be submitted
Regular use of management information tools such as Subway Live IQ and analysis of the daily, weekly & monthly paperwork such as the Control Sheets, WISR & Combo report. Utilizing Subway tools such as Factor, Food Cost, Cost of Units, Daily Inventory form, Productivity, Drink percentage, average unit value, labour cost, sales prediction chart, combo report, customer counts, drink percentage, bread and money variances, Thru-Put, to identify and address issues, trends and opportunities within the Subway and to manage store performance
Responsibility for disciplinary matters involving staff in conjunction with and with guidance from the store manager, Subway Supervisor and Head Office if necessary
Set up & opening of all new outlets to include all recruitment, training prior to opening and the set up and training of all operating procedures.
Develop & document specific operating procedures for Simon Smith Retail Subway outlets
Setting & monitoring of sales, profitability and KPI targets for each Subway Store
Regular reviews of scheduling to optimise staffing levels at each subway outlet
Holiday cover for subway supervisors
Complete all Subway online training courses in a timely manner
Attend Subway Franchise Course
Must be committed to providing on-going assistance and support to all Site Managers, Subway Supervisors and Sandwich Artists in all areas of training, employee relations, customer service, thru-put, profitability & control
Mobile phone to be kept on and accessible at all times for emergency calls
To seek proactive ways to improve subway standards
To ensure all Subway Stores adhere to all legislative requirements i.e. Health and Safety, Licence Laws, Employment Law and Trading Standards requirements
Provide business director a full page report on previous week's key issues & achievements (positive or negative) along with objectives for the following week (no later than 11am each Monday)
To carry out other duties as may from time to time are reasonably required
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Previous experience of managing people.
Knowledge of retail/& or restaurant industry operations
Previous experience in food franchises management preferably Subway.
A proven track record of effective customer service.
A good working knowledge of stock control and ordering procedures.
A good working knowledge of finance and budgetary controls.
Basic Food Handling Certificate preferred.
Full clean driving license
A good level of verbal and numerical reasoning - to GCSE/O Level standard or equivalent.
