Our 'award winning' business travel client is currently looking to recruit an experienced Systems Support Consultant to join their well-established 'online' team in their busy offices in East Kilbride (G74)
As a Systems Support Consultant you will be required to provide first level support on any booking issues both internally and via the direct access system, and offer the same support to TMC's on issues associated with the booking of products on our client's marketplace. You will communicate any system developments to all appropriate parties, and develop and maintain a call avoidance strategy. You will facilitate the setup of new TMC's joining the system, and develop a testing regime for any new products, enhancements & links being added to the system. You will also ensure that any problems are reported to your Line Manager in a timely manner, whilst ensuring that service level agreements are maintained at all times.
As a Systems Support Consultant you will have previous experience working in a similar 'systems support' role for a UK based travel company, and have a good knowledge & understanding of various online & CRS booking systems (to include having some knowledge & awareness of scripts). You will be able to respond to changing business needs, and have the ability to reprioritise your own time accordingly. You will be a very organised individual, with good attention to details, and the ability to work to tight deadlines when required. You will be very computer literate, and have strong problem solving & decision making skills. You will also be a good team player, who can work on their initiative when required, and communicate effectively on all levels.
