Tailor Made Travel Consultant 

Working for this rapidly expanding luxury tour operator as a tailor made travel consultant you will have a real passion for travel and be keen to have to structured career within the travel industry

The role is about using imagination, knowledge and flair to create unique and beautifully presented itineraries. This is not an ordering taking role you will need real sales ability specialising in three distinct markets Honeymoons, families and A la Carte (once in lifetime trips)

Duties of the role:

  • Answering and responding to enquiries in a prompt and professional manner line with the company guidelines, using the following modes of communication phone, e-mail, text and live chat through our website.
  • Creating and producing imaginative itineraries using your creative writing skills.
  • Managing a portfolio of business to ensure a high level of customer retention and rebooking.
  • Calling brochure enquiries, pre-departure clients and returning clients to ensure upsell messages and customer satisfaction level are met and exceed.
  • Managing clients, from enquiry through booking to departure including ensuring prompt and effective ticket dispatch.
  • Attending shows and exhibition when required this may include weekends.
  • Requirement to work weekends on rota basis and overtime when required.
  • Working to strict sales targets and KPI’s.

Skills & Experience:

  • At least one year work experience within the Luxury Travel sector.
  • Knowledge of least one of our destination and ideally extensive travel experience – South Pacific, Australia, New Zealand, Indian Ocean, South and East Africa, Caribbean
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of Amadeus or another CRS.
  • Ability to work independently and to multi task.
  • A can do attitude and ability to make things happen.
  • Smart professional and passionate disposition.
  • Experience of Travelink and Tigerbay back office system would be useful.
