Tender / Bid Writer, Surrey, up to £30k

A leading Business Travel Management Agency based in Surrey is looking for a Tender / Bid writer to formally respond to PQQs and RFI's in timely fashion in order to assist the sales department with winning new business travel clients.  This is a Junior role that is NOT home working!

The responsibilities of the Tender / Bid Writer are as follows:

  • Formally respond to PQQs and RFIs in timely fashion to requisite quality standards
  • Deliver high quality support to Bid Manager and Senior Bid Executives
  • Work to a stringent bid qualification process
  • Proof read documents ensuring spelling, grammar and format is presented professionally
  • Ensure the quality assurance of all written submissions; ensuring factual correctness and consistency of sales messages
  • Manage the delivery of the documents being sent to the customer e.g. printing, collating and binding documents


The skills required for the Tender / Bid Writer are as follows:

  • High attention to detail – must be meticulous in terms of proof reading skills
  • Strong Microsoft office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel specifically)
  • Experience of managing PQQ’s and RFI’s at a ‘corporate’ level
  • Experience of working with sales teams
  • Relevant work experience in a bid environment
  • Previous knowledge of the Business travel industry sector would be highly desirable
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Team player
  • Adaptability/Multi-Tasking
