Ticketing & Support Consultant, London

Competitive Salary 

Our client is a well established Business Travel Management Agency with offices around the UK and US. They are looking for a Ticketing Consultant to join their team. The main role of a Ticketing & Support Consultant is to assist the BT operations team with a variety of tasks for our consultants based in head office, our implant teams and home workers.

Principle Responsibilities of the Ticketing & Support Consultant:

  • Check and process ticket re-issue’s and fare calculations
  • Manually build fare constructions such as RTW fares when itineraries do not auto price
  • Answer internal ticketing queries by phone and email
  • Assist BT consultants with understanding of nett fare rules and restrictions
  • Ensuring airlines fares are loaded correctly and liaising with airlines to rectify if not
  • Check daily for airline contract updates using the nett fare tools and distribute accordingly
  • Maintain and organise airline contracts, keeping them up to date


Skills, Knowledge and Experience of the Ticketing & Support Consultant are:

  • Proficient knowledge of IATA airfare construction
  • Recognised industry qualifications (BA1&2, VA1&2)
  • Knowledge of US Ticketing & Commissions an advantage
  • A good working knowledge of a GDS preferably Sabre
  • Extensive geographical knowledge
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong organisation skills – able to plan, co-ordinate and organise effectively
  • Self-motivated, patient and disciplined
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • The ability to work under pressure and take responsibility for decision making
  • Ability to make effective use of resources available to complete tasks to agreed deadline
  • Quality control across all aspects of our procedures and processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel


The Ticketing & Support Consultant would suit a ticketer who currently works in the Leisure industry but who is interested in moving into Business Travel.
