Travel and Tourism - Leisure Travel Agency Sales Manager, Newcastle, Up to £28k basic + excellent team bonus

Our client is currently seeking a Leisure and Travel Sales Manager to manage one of their notoriously successful travel stores. The successful candidate will maximise sales, revenue and profitability of the store through excellent sales performance and effective management of all resources. As a Leisure Travel Store Manager you will lead, motivate and develop a high performing sales team whilst ensuring all customers are provided with excellent levels of service. You will currently be working as an experienced Team Leader/Manager in Leisure Travel, you will have experience of supporting and developing your team, recognising the different needs of individuals, coaching the team through monthly 1-2-1’s providing feedback aimed at improving individual targets. You will be confident at identifying areas of underperformance, using performance management to drive improvements. Maximising development opportunities for the team and having a succession plan in place, to include team training sessions. You will take ownership for customer complaints, handling them in an efficient and professional manner seeking quick resolution whilst protecting company profit. You will interact with customers creating an environment of exceptional service and control. The ideal candidate will be commercially aware, highly target driven and focused on sales and revenue results.  Striving to grow Store performance through regular analysis and having a local business plan in place. Take an interest in competitor activity and promotions and sharing with the relevant areas of the business. You will be required to develop strong supplier relationships encouraging two way feedback and Store visits. Inviting preferred suppliers to conduct in-store training to improve product knowledge.
