Travel Consultant – Arctic Adventure Travel – west London - £23k (OTE £27k)

 

A Travel Consultant is wanted by a leading, growing and award winning travel company who are highly regarded for their ethical, sustainable and responsible travel approach to some of the worlds most exotic and ‘off-the-beaten track’ travel destinations.  As Travel Consultant for their Artic programme you will provide expertise in helping design inspiring travel itineraries to some of Earths most breathing taking destinations.   Travel destination training will be given to the right candidate.

 

Travel Consultant – Arctic Adventure Travel – what will I be doing all day?

  • Selling group tours and creating tailor-made itineraries (proposals) for clients to the Arctic, Norway, Finland, Iceland and Sweden. You may be occasionally required to sell other Worldwide destinations.
  • Filter sales calls and email and website enquires
  • Reply to client enquires that are not qualified as a lead
  • Emailing ground agents tailor made clients final itinerary for them to check
  • Checking availability flights and book them through consolidators. Manage the flight until it is ticketed
  • Asking clients for payment details to pay for their trip. Sending payment details to the Admin department
  • Create and manage group tour extensions
  • Manage new, existing and past bookings
  • Sign off flight and ground agent invoices for tailor made tours. Sign off flight invoices for group tours

 

Travel Consultant – Arctic Adventure Travel – what should I be?

  • A passion for adventure and cultural travel
  • Some experience of travel sales, looking to specialise for a leading travel company
  • Ability to set and work to deadlines with attention to detail and ability to plan ahead
  • Able to work on own initiative
  • Customer Service capabilities, able to deal with a variety of clients
  • Patience and persistence in dealing with foreign countries and getting answers.
  • Ability to deal with clients and agents
