Travel Consultant

Our client who is a very well established Retail Travel Brand with Stores across the UK, Europe and the USA are looking for a Travel Consultant who will be responsible for maximising profitability, growing the business, maintaining service levels and building relationships with customers and key accounts.

The responsibilities of Travel Consultant are:

  • Manage a portfolio of existing customers and accounts maximising sales and revenue
  • Hit the monthly revenue, conversion and call targets
  • Continue to develop and maintain existing accounts through effective Account Management
  • Use brochures and other sales material to maximise sales opportunity using full product range of company’s preferred suppliers
  • Work with Business Development Managers and Execs to maximise opportunities, and pass on relevant leads
  • Meet and exceed personal objectives, including, sales, revenue, conversion and productivity targets
  • Follow best practice processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Offer first class customer service at all times
  • Understand key products, services and unique selling points
  • Assist when necessary with other B2B business streams
  • Promote and support a company’s values & behaviours and promote the company culture.

The skills required for the Travel Consultant are:

  • To have a broad understanding of B2C performance targets and objectives
  • Actively uses all opportunities to gain contacts and build customer base
  • Anticipates, responds to and seeks to meet the needs of internal and external customers
  • Work co-operatively within own team and rapport-building skills needed when dealing with third party suppliers
  • Able to influence and develop a working relationship using appropriate interpersonal behaviours
  • Express keen negotiating skills
  • Able to maintain a desire to excel and succeed
  • Able to maintain motivation when working alone and within a team
  • Ability to plan current and future workloads, well organised, methodical & accurate, time management & patience are also a must
  • Maintain a high level of customer service.
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills

The Travel Consultant role would ideally suit someone with Diploma or Degree Qualifications in Business, Tourism or Travel or studying towards and ideally travelled to at least two destinations outside of home country.
