An offline marketing manager is required to assist in the delivery of the department’s marketing objectives, using the full range of marketing techniques to market. These objectives include increasing customer acquisition and retention whilst maintaining a focus on cost efficiency. Key responsibility is in delivering trade advertising and marketing activity for the brand  working closely with the Marketing Manager and the Head of Marketing.

Offline Marketing Manager Job Description

  • Work with Media Agency to pre-plan trade advertising, both on and offline, and approve any ad-hoc opportunities whilst managing the trade media plan
  • Manage the B2B e-Mail schedule, briefing, coding and testing
  • Produce trade creative concepts and sign-off on bespoke initiatives, ensuring artwork is supplied on time and correct to the campaign project
  • Coordinate weekly offer flyers in line with the commercial focuses
  • Update & produce travel agent sales collateral and organise print/distribution
  • Produce and distribute B2B2C point of sale material for 3 major campaigns
  • Brief the internal Design Team to create on-brand and relevant artwork
  • Manage brochure production and distribution from start to finish including monthly reporting on stock flow and run-rates
  • Obtain print quotes and keep abreast of set budgets, recording all costs
  • Manage key relationships with agencies and consortia. Planning and fulfilling joint marketing campaigns whilst keeping track of set budgets
  • Maintain the trade website to ensure all content is accurate and up-to-date  
  • Update the B2B booking engine with relevant sales messages
  • Maintain relationships with all travel trade publications, ensuring that all advertising is fulfilled and supplied on time as per media plan
  • Organise all offline travel trade print filing
  • Work alongside Trade Marketing Executive to fulfil all trade requirements for promotions, incentives, B2B social media and online training programmes
  • Assist with all marketing activity for the Groups Department, including the pre-planned MICE advertising
  • Assist the Marketing Manager with any other marketing tasks (including B2C advertising) as and when required

Off Line Marketing Manager Skills

  • Good communicator – written, verbal and presentation
  • Strong copywriting skills
  • Ability to project manage and multi task and work to tight deadlines
  • Confidence to build strong relationships with internal and external contacts
  • Extremely organised with the ability to prioritise activity around conflicting deadlines
  • Ability to put yourself in both the consumer and trade mind-set
  • Creative, articulate and numeric with a good eye for detail
  • Self-starter with the ambition to progress in marketing and develop the role
  • Strong team player
  • Fresh and proactive thinker
  • Understanding of travel industry sectors, in particular tour operation

Essential technical skills

  • At least 3 years’ experience of B2B travel trade marketing
  • Experience and understanding print advertising, production and fulfilment
  • Travel industry experience is a must, in particular agency and consortia
