Travel Operations Manager – Up to £28k – Surrey

 

Travel Operations Manager for a small group adventure travel company with over 30 years’ experience in the travel industry. As Travel Operations Manager you will be responsible for day-to-day travel operations and product delivery. As Travel Operations Manager you will be the first point of call for on-tour incidents so this position will suit your aspiration of working in an ever changing environment.

 

As a Travel Operations Manager you will:

  • Responsible for maintaining accuracy of travel information (trip notes, planning sheets etc.)
  • Responsible for ensuring quality and safety on all travel services provided
  • Deal efficiently with day-to-day travel operational problems, one-off incidents and crisis situations
  • Investigate any quality issues, provide Customer Relations with detailed information to enable them to reply efficiently to customer letters and ensure pro-active steps are taken to avoid future complaints
  • Work closely with Product Managers to ensure travel operates smoothly and to meet the expectations of customers
  • Effectively liaise with travel leaders and local agents to ensure high performance levels
  • Participate in selection days and training of Travel Leaders
  • Responsible for Tour Leader travel budgets
  • Travel overseas to include Tour Leader training, dealing with incidents, recces, quality control and industry familiarisation trips / product knowledge (possibly at short notice)

 

The successful Travel Operations Manager will be someone who is both an independent thinker and a team player and will be able to demonstrate a record of working to tight deadlines and under pressure.  As Travel Operations Manager you will have proven people management skills, excellent negotiation skills and be able to demonstrable results inside an operations environment.  This Travel Operations Manager role would be a fantastic opportunity for someone with extensive travel experience who is passionate about the industry and exudes enthusiasm for travel.
