Travel Product Executive 

Our client is currently seeking a travel product executive to maintain and improve the company’s products, in order to improve revenue, margins and quality. 


  • Ideally at least three years’ experience of product development/maintenance in activity holidays
  • Passionate about developing commercially-viable holidays (for groups and private departures) and able to sense opportunities for improving the bottom line through product development
  • A thorough understanding and appreciation of the Product Development process
  • Excellent communicator - both verbal and written
  • Excellent at writing enticing, good quality text. Proven ability to write well and produce a high volume of information about the product quickly and accurately
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Good mathematical and analytical skills
  • Highly numerate - able to deal with numbers/rates in multiple currencies, apply margins/mark-ups quickly and assess product information and pricing versus competitors
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (database skills an advantage)
  • Able to liaise with/build relationships with suppliers while at the same time negotiating firmly to achieve competitive rates, differentiated product and favourable terms for the company
  • Balances strong negotiation skills with building relationships with overseas suppliers
  • Demonstrates solid understanding of accounting principles (especially relating to tour operator costing and management of gross margins)
  • Good at editing/formatting/presenting in Word or other relevant packages
  • Knowledge of flights/airlines (Amadeus or similar GDS, contracts, fares...) and relevant travel reservations systems 


  • Personal values aligned with company - especially in relation to commercial driven for profit balanced with responsible travel, conservation and community development
  • Understanding and empathy with product offered
  • Happy and willing to travel overseas regularly for trade show

The successful applicant does not have to tick ALL of the above boxes - training will be given. The most important thing is drive and passion 4 travel as well as commitment and perseverance
