Product Managers in travel, look this way! Do you have experience as a Product Manager within a travel environment? Have you dealt in depth with products across various travel brands? This leading travel provider is looking to recruit an experienced Product Manager to join this great team in Leicestershire. This is a fantastic opportunity to be accountable for the development, contracting and delivery of amazing products across the brands. This role provides an opportunity to work collaboratively across the business to create inspirational holidays for the customers, using market research and leading through to implementation and launch. The Product Manager ensures the product meets the company's expectations and targets of quality, growth, customer satisfaction, profitability and margin. This is a wonderfully varied role working in an exciting, deadline driven environment.

Job Description
-Accountable for Purchasing of Land Product including optional excursions:
-Negotiating favourable commercial terms
-Not compromising on hotel/itinerary quality
-Finding "best fit" suppliers
-Owning supplier relationships
-Responsible for ensuring that Health & Safety requirements have been met on Land Product
-Accountable for delivering accurate and inspirational brochure and web content
-Accountable for comprehensive and accurate tour cost base
-Responsible for the delivery of planned revenue and margins by carrying out extensive competitor analysis, ongoing cost reviews and regular itinerary reviews.
-Responsible for planning and delivering the capacity plan across 2 core brands
-Responsible for the creation of new products from inception through to implementation and launch.
-Ensuring all products meet audit requirements
-Minimising error-based changes to tours and erratas & Accuracy of cost base
-Competitor analysis is undertaken to ensure our prices are competitive in the market
-Ensure the right amount of product is available to deliver revenue targets and margins
-Ensure that all product is of the required quality and that customer feedback and compensation are monitored and appropriate action taken
-On-going monitoring of sales trends to ensure appropriate action is taken (and communicated)
-Identify the trouble spots with yield to ensure appropriate action is taken
-Responsible for sales analysis, working with yield and marketing to identify and react to commercial risks and opportunities
-Responsible for accurate documentation within agreed timescales including Tour Set Up forms; Tour schedules and contracts
-Build relationships across the business, forming virtual teams with key stakeholders including Operations, Marketing, Aviation, Finance, Sales & Service & Customer Service.
-Line Management and development of a Product Executive or Product Assistant may be required

Experience Required
-The suitable candidate will have a strong product background within the travel industry and knowledge of short or long haul destinations. You will demonstrate a creative and innovative approach to work with a high degree of accuracy.
-Minimum 3 years' experience in product management ideally within a travel or leisure business
-Educated to degree level or relevant experience
-Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation skills
-Demonstrates a creative and innovative approach to work
-Displays tenacity and a determination to succeed
-Ability to analyse & interpret management information re: sales, margins, and market data to ensure all relevant products are commercially viable

This role would be suitable for someone who:
-Has a passion for travel and would love to share that passion with our customers by creating exciting and memorable itineraries as well as travel themselves.
-This person needs to have initiative and determination.
-Loves variety and being a part of an exciting journey of growth.
-Is flexible with the ability to work in a deadline driven environment
