Travel Product Manager 4 Africa Travel
Product Manager 4 Africa will be responsible for the commercial and operational success of their programme; for identifying and taking advantage of the considerable potential for growth and for developing the programme in the years ahead.
The Product Manager should identify areas of development based on client research, market analysis and sales/cost projections.
The Product Manager is responsible for sourcing the most suitable overseas agents for the programme and ensure that their prices are competitive and that the quality of the product provided in terms of services and accommodation is of the requisite high standard.
He/she will ensure that all agents and other relevant third parties understand the specific requirements responsible for determining the destinations and itineraries for the annual brochure tour programme.
He/she will negotiate and contract rates and services with agents, airlines, hotels and cost the programme; source and select brochure slides and write brochure copy. In order to do this, visits will need to be planned and made to key destinations and agents .
The Product Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all Sales Consultants are fully trained on the brochure programme, that they have accurate and updated product information and that they have all the relevant information to facilitate sales.
He/she will handle competitor price analyses; FIT price / service analyses; overviews / updates on competitor activity; supplier changes; regular analysis of tour performance; destination incident reports, destination news and event notifications, as well as analysis of client questionnaires.
