Travel Sales Consultant - Ski & Med - London - up to £18k basic + excellent uncapped commission OTE min £25k ++ 

Our client is a tour operator specialising in ski and summer beach & alpine activity holidays operating throughout France, Greece and Austria.

Within a small dedicated sales team, the travel sales consultant can achieve target and earn excellent commission.

As a Travel Sales Consultant you will be the first point of contact for potential customers, so first impressions are key! Building either full week or weekend & midweek packages, you will maximise sales by identifying customers’ requirements. Maintaining relationships with clients, recommending suitable options and providing support, information and guidance are key elements of this role. 

The Travel Sales Consultant will be responsible for maximizing the usage of rooms in our chalets and hotels, coordinating the bookings of full week, midweek and weekend ski breaks. Most clients’ requirements will request researching and developing a set of options - every sales enquiry is treated as unique. The ideal candidate will be someone passionate about delivering outstanding customer service with a ‘can do’ attitude, able to work with tailor-made bookings and driven by targets.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

- Be central point of contact & knowledge in the office, representing the company in a professional, cordial and helpful manner over the phone and via e-mail.

- Reply to phone and e-mail holidays enquiries

- Identify options suitable for the customers’ enquiries and send quotations via Sales Interface

- Tailor packages according to potential customers needs and requirements

- Monitor customers’ feedback and nurture leads to maximise sales conversion

- Maximise the sales of all extras, such as lift passes and ski hire.

- Load bookings into the company’s reservation system, including any extras added onto the package.

- Ensure safe and secure handling of payments taken through the company’s operational system. 

Person Specification:

- Ability to work to challenging and often changing deadlines

- Strong social/People skills/Cheerful/Outgoing

- Motivated/Passionate / Enthusiastic

- Ability to work alone and as part of a team

- Ability to cope under pressure

- Willingness to work hard / long hours 

Skills & Ability:

- Highly Organised

- Strong IT skills including the full Microsoft Office Suite

- Literate and numerate

- Competent Travel Link User – desired 

Experience:

- Ski industry knowledge

- Sales Experience & Customer Service

- Holiday reservation system experience - desired

- Ability to work in Sales Goals Meeting environment
