Travel Sales & Development Manager, up to £45k, Central London 

The Role:

Reporting to the Director of Sales you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the call centre, helping to hit individual and group targets whilst training them in sales and product.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing a team of circa 50 sales specialists. 
  • Liaising with the team leaders to ensure sales targets and all KPI’s are being achieved.
  • Monitoring call stats and listening in to sales personnel calls to ensure closing techniques are being used efficiently and call centre time is being utilised to its optimum
  • Liaising with the product team to ensure that the high value and high commission product is being sold in the most effective way
  • Monitoring call centre stats including inbound and outbound calls, number of enquiries being dealt with, profitability, etc.
  • Training the team on all aspects of handling enquiries, closing sales, up selling etc.
  • Organising and facilitating product training and familiarisation trips for the sales team
  • Managing sales team rota’s and progression
  • Monitoring individual and group performance
  • Maximising sales and optimisation of opportunities in the contact centre.

Required Experience:          

3+ years experience in contact centre sales management

  • Significant experience working in customer focused , target driven environment
  • Able to lead by example and show a proven record
  • Numerically & commercially strong
  • Proven self starter
  • Able to motivate a team  in high pressured situations
  • Minimum of 5 years experience within the outbound sales industry, to include 3 years  managing a large call centre (travel experience preferred)
  • Hold a UK or UK accepted international driving license
  • Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn and a flexibility to adapt
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint & ideally Google Applications
  • Ability to manage change
  • Good decision making skills with proven examples
