Are you an experienced Venue Finding / Conference Consultant looking for a new and exciting opportunity within the Corporate Travel sector? Would you like to join a rapidly growing and highly ambitious Travel Management company? If so, we’d love to hear from you as our client is seeking an experienced Venue Finding & Conference Consultant to join the team at their modern offices in York and help service some fantastic newly-won accounts! Our client is looking for previous conference booking or venue finding experience and the ability to be able to manage your own projects and accounts whilst supporting others in your team. Good knowledge of UK and European conference destinations and experience with MICE booking tools would be advantageous and in return, our client can offer an attractive package including a competitive starting salary of up to £17k plus a generous 24 day holiday allowance (plus bank holidays) and other excellent benefits.

Role of Venue Finding & Conference Consultant:

  • Taking and developing a full brief for venue find projects
  • Producing accurate client proposals
  • Negotiating with a range of UK and European venues
  • Supplier liaison and negotiation
  • Maintaining an accurate client and venue database
  • Travelling where necessary for inspection trips and familiarisation visits
  • Develop and build strong relationships

Skills required for the role:

  • Previous conference booking or venue finding experience
  • Enthusiasm, willingness to learn and a passion for good customer service
  • Excellent rapport and relationship building skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail, efficient and organised
  • Good communication and computer skills (MS Office and databases)
  • Able to work on own initiative, under pressure and with flexibility
  • Ability to problem solve
