Have you got experience working within Events or Conference industries in the Birmingham area? Do you want to work in a well established Business Travel company? A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Event Co-ordinator to join one of the UK's leading Corporate Travel companies in Birmingham to source venues. My client is a leading Conference & Events company in Birmingham, looking for an experienced Event Co-ordinator to deal with the Venue Sourcing needs of their corporate clients. Dealing with an extremely busy account, you will source conference venues, negotiate rates, make reservations, confirmation and see everything through to completion. This is a busy role and requires someone who is able to work under their own initiative, multi-task and manage their time effectively.
- A mixture of venue sourcing & involvement of larger onsite events
- Offering a variety of hotel and venues, explaining their rates and regulations
- Building a rapport with the client and ensuring excellent customer service
- Confirming the reservations as required and ensuring the booking process goes smoothly
- Using GDS Galileo
- Office Hourshours Mon- Fri
- Possible weekend work if required
The successful candidate must have experience in the industry - preferably from a conference background, will have excellent people and customer service skills, good telephone manner and good communication & written skills . You will be keen to continue your career within a fantastic company and ideally have experience using GDS Galileo or other GDS systems.
A salary of up to £18K is offered to the successful candidate, depending on skills and experience - Plus Fantastic Company Benefits and the opportunity to work for a very well established Corporate Travel Company!!!
