Villas/Ski Travel Reservations Consultant 

Working as a travel reservations consultant for this outstanding company you will hav excellent verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on telephone sales.

Your duties will include but will not be limited to:

  • Using effective questioning techniques to establish client requirements to ensure that you are able to match their requirements appropriately and profitably
  • Ensuring that quotes and proposals are produced and communicated to client within 24hrs. (if not possible the client is kept up to date as to progress)
  • Taking responsibility for a booking from ‘point of sale to point of departure’, from initial follow up to enquiry to calling the client on their return from holiday
  • Maintaining regular contact with direct clients and travel agents to keep them informed of progress and status of booking and thus ensure client satisfaction.
  • Resolving client complaints quickly and efficiently
  • Making full use of IT in order to ensure maximum efficiency and make recommendations as to future enhancements.
  • Taking responsibility for problem solving in a professional and diplomatic manner to maintain client service levels.
  • Representing the company at client events and trade exhibitions as required

Revenue and Profitability

  • Monitor and pursue all quotes and proposals sent to ensure maximum conversion to sales
  • Be aware of the team sales target and work to ensure these are reached or exceeded to maximise profitability of the team.
  • Maximise profits through accurate use of in-house database/reservations system and margin guidelines.
  • Ensure that client deposits are received before booking status is set to confirmed

Market information

  • Maintaining awareness of competitor activity to ensure our client remains competitive in terms of price and product offered.
  • Monitor and communicate client feedback so that market requirements are considered in future product development.

Skills and abilities    

  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills and ability to multi task
  • Strong geographic, destination, cultural and world affairs knowledge
  • Ideally should have excellent knowledge and experience of Europe and skiing
  • Intermediate computer skills required (Microsoft Office) and ability to quickly master new technologies
  • Good judgment and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent inter-personal skills
  • Travel industry experience preferred
