MARKETING ACCOUNT MANAGER TOUR OPERATOR
Our client, an established worldwide tour operator, is currently looking to appoint a Marketing Account Manager to optimise sales performance from both website and the contact centre channels. With proven travel industry experience, you will require strong communication, account management and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with marketing and call centre colleagues. Excellent analytical and commercial acumen are essential along with a strong understanding of online distribution channels.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF MARKETING ACCOUNT MANAGER
Responsible for proposing, owning, developing and delivering sales and marketing strategy as agreed with stakeholders and line manager.
Maximise traffic and sales performance of products via the website by analysing and interpreting booking data, web analytics and competitor analysis and making recommendations accordingly.
Contribute to analysing the effectiveness of digital marketing strategies (affiliates, partner, search, social media) and partner strategies.
Contribute to annual and quarterly marketing plans and agreeing promotional budgets.
End to end delivery of optimised marketing communications and contribution to successful set up of promotions.
Maximising product sales performance in the contract centres through delivery of commercially effective annual incentive scheme and communications plan.
Contribute to user testing and defining the commercial proposition for projects.
Accountable for managing, motivating and developing 1 2 direct reports.
REQUIREMENTS OF MARKETING ACCOUNT MANAGER
Proven experience in the travel industry at management level with extensive experience in a marketing /commercial related role
Proven knowledge of market trends, the online travel landscape, sales & distribution channels, product supply yield management and distribution strategies
Proven ability to understand, articulate and respond to changing internal and external environments
Proven experience and credibility in working with third party agencies and suppliers
Proven ability to manage a multi functional team of direct and indirect reports
Proven ability to work at both a strategic and detailed level
Proven experience of working in an online retail and/or marketing environment
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This role will involve some time working off-site (attending meetings) and also a small element of overseas travel (USA region). Salary will be in the region of £35k pending experience, plus a range of benefits.
