Hours: 37.5 hours per week on a shift basis including evenings and weekends

Role Purpose
To drive and grow sales through your retail store, achieving and exceeding all sales targets, whilst ensuring delivery of exceptional customer service, in compliance with company policies, procedures and guidelines, and to drive sales into the concession by motivating and developing the staff within your store.
Responsibilities
To deliver and exceed sales targets
Personally deliver exceptional customer service, following the company sales process to close the sale
Contribute towards the sales and profit targets of the business
To deliver your individual business objectives / Store objectives
Manage your teams performance, addressing any performance issues where necessary
Maximise every sales opportunity by offering up sells at every opportunity
Be the external face of Virgin Holidays, dealing with all face to face and telephone enquiries from customers
Participate and willing cooperate with colleagues to achieve the team objectives
To lead and develop new, alternative and innovative ideasto developnew business
To be proactive in feeding back ways to enhance sales
Look for innovative ways to generate customer enquiries and put them into practice
Keep your own product knowledge up to date and make best use of the information facilities available
Minimise any losses and control discount spend using the set discount guidelines
Ensure brochure racks are updated and fully stocked and stickered at all times
To lead by example demonstrating to the team an exceptional high level of customer service going above and beyond
To motivate, develop and coach your team
To develop the sales skills of the team to enhance the business and develop the individual
Oversee the store operation, ensuring all the actions are completed and effective running of the store
To gain a relationship with the store manager of the department store
Communicate to the team all relevant information, interpreting to ensure the full understanding
Requirements
Must have proven supervisory experience of a target driven sales team
Previous retail sales experience is essential for this role
Proven people management skills
Experience of new business development
You must have either travelled to a long haul destination or worked with the long haul product
To encourage, motivate and lead a team of people to whom they aspire to
To ensure you tackle various scenarios as and when they happen
To ensure you follow up and feedback to individuals on a consistent basis
Use your own initiative to drive business to the concession
To ensure you have an awareness of the business within the town
Self motivated and willing to work alone on occasions
Ability to demonstrate excellent communication and influencing skills
Sales driven with a passion for providing excellent customer service
Good numerical skills with the ability to manually calculate holiday costs without error
Confident and assertive manner

This is a uniformed position
This role requires you to work shifts (including late nights and weekends)
There is a great 5 week induction training to get you up to speed based in Crawley, West Sussex (weeks 1,2,4 and 5) with the third week based in a store as near to your home as possible.
