Working within a small dynamic team, your input into the analysis, design and implementation of new distribution and pricing systems/processes will ensure that TUI Travel Mainstream UK & Ireland maintains its place as one of Europes most profitable leisure travel groups.
Through detailed analysis and modelling you will provide business insights fundamental to key strategic and commercial initiatives.
These initiatives will be heavily, but not exclusively focused on ensuring that TUI Travel leverage full benefit from its yield management capabilities and web search algorithms in order to maximise profitability.
This will involve the design and implementation of new business processes and methodologies to ensure that both TUI Travel yield management and web search keeps pace with the changing leisure travel market and that benefits from current systems are fully maximised.
The role will also encompass a significant element of providing analytical/decision support to the planning, pricing and trading teams in order to resolve current business issues.
What You'll Be Doing
Define, prototype and support testing of developments for future inclusion within TUI Travel yield management systems or search algorithms.
Develop decision support tools to support planning, pricing and trading decisions
Define and deliver business process improvements required to support delivery of evolving business strategies. Develop commercial models to track benefits arising through the implementation these strategies.
Deliver high quality OR support to internal consulting / business modelling projects as required.
Provide input into the development, implemeation and support of corporate systems & structures.
Determine commercial improvement opportunities not covered by existing work programmes and propose system and business process enhancements to realise them.
What We're Looking For
A/B in Mathematics A Level
Minimum BSc (2:1 and above) in a mathematical, economic or scientific related discipline.
Ideally the candidate should have a higher degree in a related subject (e.g.: management science, operational research or operational analysis).
Candidates will usually have 0 to 3 years commercial experience in a business modelling/analysis role
Demonstrable analytical problem solving capabilities, representing proven modelling and data analysis skills. Experience of YM would be advantageous but is not essential.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills coupled with sound commercial awareness.
The ability to work on own initiative and contribute to the direction of projects
Expert user for MS applications including Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint.
Ideally exposure to analysing large data volumes using such tools as Oracle,PL/SQL/,AS, SPSS
