My client is enjoying a period of significant growth and to help retain those gains and expand further, they are seeking to appoint a Regional Sales Executive, ideally home based in either Edinburgh or Glasgow to cover a sales region of Scotland, Northern England and Northern Ireland. The ideal candidate will be a bright, enthusiastic and extremely well motivated sales person who can build strong commercial relationships with the agents in their region in order to retain and grow their business.
In return, my client can offer a highly competitive base salary of £25,000 plus a realistic quarterly bonus structure of up to £2500 plus complimentary health insurance on successful completion of probation, overseas trips, car mileage allowance and travel concessions. Role of Regional Sales Executive:
Maintain and develop strong relationships with key travel trade customers to the benefit of the business
Work with existing agency customers to retain and grow their business profitably year on year
Research, identify and win new agency business in your region
Organise and carry out agent product training when required
Report to the National Sales Manager on market intelligence
Participate in and where necessary organise trade and consumer shows as required
Participate in and represent the company at trade conferences and conventions as required
Escort overseas agent educational trips
Necessary Skills Required:
Field sales experience gained with a similar role from within the travel industry
Strong interpersonal and relationship skills
Excellent and confident communication skills
Able to converse well with counter staff, branch managers and business owners
Self-motivated and able to succeed through drive and initiative
Willing to travel within the UK and overnight away from home when required
High levels of enthusiasm, energy and the ability to stay focused on business objectives
Own a reliable car and have a clean driving license
