Events Consultant needed to join a the Events Consultant team of a well established Travel Company. The ideal Events Consultant will have experience in venue finding and an understanding of contracts, commission processes and accounts. Word/Excel/PowerPoint and general IT skills essential for the successful Events Consultant.
Job Brief:
Source suitable venues for clients conference/Meetings/Events and Group Accommodation enquiries
Act as liaison between the client and the venue
In putting of new enquiries into in house system and ensuring efficient turnaround on enquiries.
Processing of confirmations, amendments & cancellations
Telephone liaison with clients & hotels chasing / new bookings and releasing space back to venues
Typing client proposals
Follow set process/policy attributed to each client
Understanding of account procedures
Ensure events are reconciled and past by due dates for processing/payment
Update in house system with all final details on completion of event.
Input of relevant final details into in house accounting system
Processing commission claims, including chasing and dealing with commission queries
Undertake projects as assigned by your Team leader
On-site representation where requested
Attendance of familiarisation trip & hotel presentations to increase industry knowledge
