A Product / Contracting manager is required to join product / contracting team of leading travel organisation. The position will involve brochure production including pagination, layout, copywriting. and ensuring a high standard of content and good quality images.
You will also ensure the brochure is produced in line with agreed timescales and manage competitor analysis and awareness. The position will involve maximising commercial return on relationships by ensuring highly competitive brochure contributions and sales overrides are incorporated into the contracting process and manage and overseeing the XML relationships to ensure best rates and inventory . He/she will ensure supplier's revenue targets are met and if necessary renegotiate to achieve the best financial gain and conduct product training as and when needed. You will liaise with the Health and Safety Executive to ensure product meets minimum Health & Safety requirements. and oversees site inspections of existing and new properties to ascertain suitability and to negotiate competitive contracted rates and allocations. Experience in a Purchasing and Product role in travel essential. Strong negotiation and persuasion skills and ability to travel on short notice.
