The airport roles we recruit for at Stansted offer easy travel access from London and is very close to Bishops Stortford, Harlow, Colchester, Braintree other Essex and Hertfordshire areas.
The Role
These positions involve working with the airplanes on the baggage belts and on the Ramp. You will be working in restricted areas of the airport with great responsibility to ensure the safety and security of flights and passengers. You will work amongst a strong team of operations staff to prepare and manage inbound and outbound flights.
This is a physically demanding role involving heavy lifting, working on the belt, loading baggage onto carts and scanning the bags as they come down the chutes from check in.
Working on the Ramp, you will be loading bags onto the ramp and into the hold of the aircraft, roping off the engines, directing traffic, ensuring all doors are secured, attaching stairs, operating other ground machinery as required, and preparing for aircraft arrival and departure.
Candidates
You will be a good team player, enjoy working in the airport environment and be able to work in a busy and physically demanding environment - this role involves regular heavy lifting.

Hours of work
These positions will include one full week of full time training for all staff
Shifts will involve working on a rolling roster over a period of 7 days
Early shifts will start at 4am
Late shifts can finish at 1am
Normal shift lengths will be around 6 hours long but this may vary
The contact is based on 28 hours per week, with the potential for overtime
This will be a fixed term contact over the summer period
