Job Description

Area Sales Executive West
Chichester, Winchester, Cheltenham, Bristol, Dorking, Kingston, Guildford
Salary negotiable

An exciting opportunity has become available to join our successful retail network as an Area Sales Executive. The Regional Sales Executive is responsible for sales and profit performance of the stores in the region, ensuring the delivery of key sales targets and store standards. You will need to be well travelled, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, looking for a new challenge.

If you have previous experience as a successful regional manager or store manager with a focus on meeting targets, driving sales and KPI's and a desire to work in a fast paced environment we would love to hear from you!

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Driving Sales Performance
Deliver against set targets in the following key areas
Revenue by departure year
Specialist Sales Revenue
Third Party Sales Revenue
Deliver agreed AVAYA call handling capacity in each store as set by the Retail Manager
Drive upsell activity, maximising the transactional value on every sale
Drive cross sell activity to support the sales of committed hotels and airline seats
Ensure that all Store Managers are aware of their current sales priorities
Support Store Managers with local marketing activity and lead generation
Ensure that all enquiries are followed up

Customer Service:
Ensure that all stores deliver impeccable customer service at all times
Create an environment in store which reflects the company commitment to exceptional service
Ensure that product knowledge is shared between the teams and that any significant knowledge gaps are identified and addressed
Bring Trusted Advisor' to life encouraging individuals to take personal responsibility for customers' bookings

Operational Management:
Ensure that stores are staffed and rostered to maximise customer engagement at every opportunity
Recruit new staff as appropriate and coordinate training
Ensure that all staff have the tools they need to do their job effectively (uniform, IT support)
Manage any HR issues that may arise (disciplinary, performance management etc)

Communication:
Organise and deliver monthly Managers Meetings for the sales staff
Communicate motivational sales messages to the Store Managers, ensuring that each Manager knows exactly what is required of them
Ensure that the output from the weekly Trading meeting is understood and acted upon by the retail stores
Communicate any strategic initiatives to Store Managers

Cost Management:
Manage the cost base within agreed budgets
Constantly review and challenge unnecessary costs in the organisation
Mange headcount in line with store performance and ensure that stores are delivering on agreed productivity targets

Shop Look and Feel:
Ensure that every shop follows the brand guidelines to the letter
Ensure that all marketing merchandise is properly displayed and up to date
Police the look and feel of stores to ensure that we always maintain the highest possible standards
Monitor uniform and grooming standards for staff

General Responsibility:
To build a high performing, commercially orientated and customer focused team
To be a customer champion and promote innovation across the business
To motivate to achieve, creating a strong team spirit and culture
To actively raise any commercial threats or liabilities to the Divisional Director
To communicate effectively across your department of responsibility and with the Management Team as appropriate
To adopt a collaborative approach, where appropriate, with our specialists units
To actively champion, promote and remain a strong ambassador of the company brand and values
To proactively manage and review the relevant budgets within your department
To actively incorporate the Code of Conduct principles into everyday work practices

Requirements:

Previous experience of retail management (preferably in the travel sector)
Flexibility to travel to stores within the region
Proven management experience
Passionate about selling
Positive, Inspirational role model

The right candidate will be well organised, confident, self-motivated, pro-active, able to work on own initiative.
