Senior Sales Manager

                                                

This highly successful online travel/Wholesale specialist are looking to recruit a Senior Sales Manager to join their team reporting to the Head of Sales Europe andAmericas working in the Groups Division   

As a Senior Sales Manager you will undertake an array of tasks & responsibilities:

 

  • Lead a focused sales team responsible for sales account management and new pipeline business acquisition of B2B group customers across the designated territory.
  • Ensure that turnover & net revenue from the designated territory meets or exceeds the planned budget
  • 4 Regional Manager direct reports
  • Close cooperation with Operations Manager (& Assistant Manager), plus Central Services/Commercial Manager
  • Strong relationships with counterparts in key partner / supply departments: Purchasing, Group Res, Quotations, Inbound & FIT Sales in the same territory
  • Review and establish sales, marketing, purchasing and operating strategies within territory in conjunction with senior sales management & in line with overall company objectives
  • Partnerships with equivalents in professional service departments: HR, Finance, Credit Control and Legal

 

 

Senior Sales Manager Skill attributes:

  • A strong leader with excellent people management skills; including the ability to mentor, manage and develop a team, including staff that may have remote location
  • Previous travel experience and Ideal EMEA would be an advantage.
  • Business-to-business sales experience essential, ideally in a leadership or other senior role within the travel industry.
  • Ability to fully understand and implement the business strategy and adapt it where local circumstances dictate; ensuring actions and activities are consistent with end goals.
  • Strong commercial & customer orientation
  • A self-starter, who is organised, takes ownership of results & targets, can work rapidly in a fast moving organisation with high volumes and takes decisions as appropriate   
  • Strong aptitude in performance management, the role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to source and interpret management information (MI).
  • Developed communication, negotiation and influencing skills as well as the ability to make presentations to a senior level
