AA Appointments are searching for a Scheduled Flight Operations Executive to join a well established travel company, based in south east London. The Scheduled Flight Operations department is a busy team, responsible for all processes relating to a booking, from when it is made through to after ticketing changes.
The scheduled flight operations executive role encompasses all processes relating to scheduled flights after the flights have been booked this includes managing amendments, liaising with the airlines on any issues and ensuring that all flights bookings are accurate.
The hours are 9 a.m. - 5.30 p.m., Monday to Friday.
Using Amadeus is an advantage, although the company will cross train for the right candidate. Use of a GDS is essential.
Main Responsibilities for a Scheduled Flights Operations Executive:
To provide support and advise to the Call Centres via email/telephone on any scheduled flight queries or problems
To interpret and understand scheduled airline contracts to ensure all airline rulings are strictly adhered to
To process refunds for all scheduled airlines
To run the late booking report and take all required action
To liaise with the airlines on flight queries as well as solving issues
To rebook customers for any affected flight cancellations and during any emergency situations
To manage the Amadeus queues ensuring schedule changes and other airline messages are actioned on a daily basis
To quality check bookings across approximately 50 airlines ensuring all details are booked correctly and solve any booking issues
To manage the Eurostar booking process
Skills, Experience and Qualifications for a Scheduled Flights Operations Executive:
Strong knowledge of a GDS
A good working knowledge of current airline policies
A wide geographical knowledge of airline routings
An understanding of airline contracts of at least 15 airlines
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively
An ability to prioritise and deliver to tight deadlines
Excellent organisational skills
Self-motivated and able to work under own initiative
Applicants will have broad experience and be able to deal with 50 + airlines and routings all over the world.
The ideal candidate will have dealt with reading and understanding nett airline contracts and our client will look at Scheduled Flights Operations Executives with a background in ticketing, contract loading or from a help desk.
