Are you an experienced Travel Consultant who thrives on working in a varied and exciting environment?
The position is based in a large open-plan office handling bookings and enquiries for Cycling, Self-Guided & Guided Trail holidays in the UK & abroad. The successful candidate must have previous knowledge in the travel industry, preferably in a role which deals with customers and airlines directly.
Responsibilities:
Making bookings for accommodation and travel for Cycling, self-guided & guided trail holidays. Handling queries / customer care issues. Providing material for the despatching of holiday documents. Assistance in production of guests' holiday information. Booking flights using Galileo & the internet (using the company's main suppliers + additional airlines) Help manage flight allocations & requests for additional flight seats Providing support to colleagues within the Abroad department Production of rooming lists & coach lists for hotels, agents and coach companies Booking & confirming coach / taxi transfers for guests Producing a late report of any last minute changes for hotels, coaches & Leaders
Person specification: Excellent Knowledge of dealing with customers and handling all types of communication (verbal and written) Travel industry knowledge Good knowledge of computers (we have an in-house booking system) Excel and Word Experience using Galileo
