The Phoenix programme is a business transformation project focused around the replacement of the core reservation system and wider systems landscape. It will impact every area of the TUI UK & Ireland business over the next three years and has an estimated total investment cost of £80m.
The key purpose of the role is to support the monthly financial reporting & control of Project Phoenix. This encompasses the accurate recording of internal & external development costs, ensuring project costs are appropriately & accurately allocated to projects, reconciliation of the capitalised expenditure and preparation of Phoenix finance packs.
What You'll Be Doing
Project accounting
Manage the timecard process, ensuring all internal staff and external complete timecards on a weekly basis
Perform analysis on weekly timecard reports to identify classification issues
Prepare journals to reclassify P&L and capex costs in line with timecard data
Review invoices booked in the month to ensure these are appropriately classified and prepare journals to reclassify as necessary
Perform analysis to identify non-compliance with PO controls
Review project accruals and prepayments and prepare journals as necessary
Project reporting
Prepare reports for project cost centre managers showing transactions incurred in the month v budget and forecast
Prepare the monthly phoenix finance pack, updating for actuals and forecast
Reconcile the phoenix management pack (opex and capex) to the oracle CIP account and oracle P&L account
Perform variance analysis to understand reason for variations to the business case budget and previous forecast
Support the Phoenix Financial Controller in the identification of programme risks and ops

A recently qualified accountant or a part qualified accountant with relevant experience
