Billing Analyst - Travel Swindon £17,600 - 26,400 plus bonus and benefits
Position Description:
To ensure the accuracy of company Supplier billing, and includes updating sensitive billing system tables; daily, weekly and monthly process checking; requirements definition for system changes; user-acceptance testing for those changes, and data analysis at a general and detailed level. In addition the group provides a helpdesk function for queries on all aspects of supplier billing.
Main Accountabilities:
System table inputs for all aspects of supplier billing, including pricing data.
Process checking on a daily, weekly and monthly basis using pre-formatted reports
Data analysis, where necessary using Focus and JCL processes to produce data files and reports
Define requirements for billing system changes, work with Developers on the design for the changes and carry out user acceptance testing for those changes.
Provide consultancy on all aspects of Supplier billing to internal and external customers.
Carry out manual and ad-hoc billing, including invoice and credit creation
Take part in SOX and other audit activity
Manage the Billing, modifications and enquiries regarding the MIDT/BIDT/SLD products from both internal departments and Vendors. Produce requirements for changes to these products.
Knowledge & Skills:
Education to A-level standard
Thorough knowledge of airline distribution, gained through either applicable airline or GDS experience
Ability to structure database tables in order to apply complex pricing parameters
Good working knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook and Word
Ability to carry out repetitive tasks with accuracy
Experience of Focus and JCL processes or similar applications
Honesty and integrity essential
Ability to work well as part of a small team
Ability to complete detailed tasks against deadlines
Ability to communicate clearly and unambiguously by email and telephone
